Das PM 1-Seminar macht mit grundlegenden interpretatorischen Techniken philologischen Arbeitens vertraut. Gegenstand sind die Briefe Plinius' des Jüngeren, die wir themenbezogen im Laufe des Semesters in Auswahl lesen werden. Ein Schwerpunkt wird mit dem 10. Buch die Korrespondenz zwischen Plinius und Kaiser Trajan während Plinius' Statthalterschaft in Bithynien und Pontus sein.
