Dieses Seminar bietet eine Einführung in die experimentelle Emotionspsychologie. Kurz zusammengefasst werden Emotionen in der experimentellen Emotionspsychologie entweder als unabhängige Variable manipuliert, um Fragen nach den Auswirkungen von Emotionen zu beantworten; oder Emotionen werden als abhängige Variable gemessen, um Fragen nach den Ursachen von Emotionen zur beantworten.

Ein Teil der Arbeit im Seminar soll darin bestehen, sich einen Überblick über die wichtige experimentelle Paradigmen in der Emotionsforschung zu verschaffen. Hierzu wird entsprechende Literatur gelesen und im Seminar besprochen. Zugleich sollen in kurzen Projektblöcken Methoden der Emotionsinduktion und Emotionsmessung realisiert und vorgestellt werden.

Für den Erwerb von Punkten im Rahmen einer Einzelleistung kann eine Sitzung vorbereitet, moderiert und dokumentiert werden (max. 2er-Gruppen).
