Im Mittelpunkt der Veranstaltung "Fit ab 60-Methodische Konzepte für Sport mit Älteren" steht die Konzipierung und Durchführung von Unterrichts- bzw. Übungsprogrammen für das spätere und späte Erwachsenenalter. Dabei werden sowohl Aspekte zur Förderung konditioneller und koordinativer Fähigkeiten als auch kognitiver Prozesse erarbeitet und praktisch umgesetzt. Bereits bestehende Programme sollen kritisch hinterfragt werden, und es sollen auf der Grundlage unterschiedlicher (Alterns)-theorien neue Konzepte entwickelt werden.
Die theoretische Grundlage dieser Veranstaltung bildet die Vorlesung Sport im späten Erwachsenenalter-Pädagogische Prinzipien und empirische Erkenntnisse von K. Willimczik. Es wird empfohlen, beide Veranstaltungen zu besuchen.
