Während des 4wöchigen Kurses werden verschiedene Kleinprojekte zur Reproduktionsenergetik des Hausmeerschweinchens und der Wanderratte durchgeführt. Nach Einarbeitung in die Methoden der modernen Energetik (Respirometrie, Kalorimetrie, etc.) werden unter anderem Ruhestoffwechselraten, Nahrungsverbrauchsraten, Verdauungseffizienzen und Körpergewichtsentwicklungen gemessen. Anhand der gewonnenen Daten wird eine Energiebilanz erstellt. In dem begleitenden Seminar werden aktuelle Themen der Fortpflanzungsenergetik behandelt. Persönliches Erscheinen bei der Vorbesprechung ist Pflicht. Leistungsnachweise: Seminarvortrag, Ergebnisberichte und Abschlußprotokoll.
