Im 1. Teil ( SS 04 ) werden Beiträge der Physik zum Verständnis der Umwelt besprochen,
wie sie von der Natur vorgegeben ist. Neben den Sachverhalten werden die physikalischen Grundlagen und Modelle sowie experimentelle Methoden und Messungen erläutert, die zum derzeitigen Kenntnisstand beigetragen haben.
Themen sind:
Vom Urknall bis zum jetzigen Zustand des Weltalls, des Sonnensystems und der Erde.
Aufbau der Erde und die Wechselwirkungen zwischen den 3 Kompartimenten:
1. Die feste Erde: das Erdinnere, Seismologie, die Lithoshäre;
2. Die Hydrosphäre: Wasser, Ozeane, Wassertransport im Boden und in der Luft;
3. Die Atmosphäre: Strahlung und ihre Wechselwirkungen,
Luftschichtung und Dynamik, das Wetter
Im 2. Teil ( WS 04/05 ) werden menschliche Techniken und Eingriffe diskutiert, die unsere Umwelt beeinflussen: Energie für die Menschen ( konventionelle und regenerative Energien und ihre Umwandlungen ); Schadstoffe und ihr Transport ; Lärm; Strahlung, ......
