360063 Religionstheorien der Gegenwart (V) (WiSe 2012/2013)

Ausgehend von der Tatsache, dass die Vielfalt der Religionsdefinitionen sowohl mit der Vielfalt der Perspektiven einzelner Wissenschaften als auch mit der konstanten geschichtlichen Änderung dessen, was als Religion betrachtet werden kann, einhergeht, werden in dieser Vorlesung verschiedene Religionstheorien dargestellt und diskutiert. Es wird u. a. auf religionsphänomenologische, religionsgeschichtliche, religionssoziologische und religionspsychologische Zugänge eingegangen. Dabei wird das Augenmerk sowohl auf die wichtigsten Vertreter als auch auf die wissenschaftliche und gesellschaftliche Relevanz der Entwürfe gelegt. Dadurch sollen die Studierenden mit den verschiedenen Perspektiven und Fragestellungen innerhalb der Religionsforschung bekannt gemacht werden. Dieses Wissen befähigt sie, die Bedingtheit von Religion und jeweiligem Kontext zu verstehen und mit der Definitionspluralität wissenschaftlich umzugehen.
