Lehrerinnen und Lehrer im Dilemma!
Deutschland im November 2001. Der PISA-Schock erfasst einen ganzen Berufsstand: "Deutschland bewegt sich in puncto Bildungsniveau nur gerade so im Mittelfeld."
Wie kann es sein, fragte man sich, dass ein Land, das wirtschaftlich nicht nur in Europa Spitzenpositionen einnimmt, bei der Bildung derart versagt hat. Sofort werden von Seiten der Bildungspolitik Gegenmaßnahmen eingeläutet, um der schulischen Bildungsmisere zu begegnen. Schlagworte wie Schlagzeilen überspannen den Horizont: Gruppenarbeit, selbstgesteuertes Lernen, Differenzierung der Lernwege, individuelle Förderung...Hat sich eigentlich mal jemand gefragt, ob es möglicherweise einen kausalen Zusammenhang gibt, zwischen wirtschaftlichem Spitzenniveau und mittelmäßigem Bildungsniveau?
Wenn man schon so fragt, kann man auch fragen: wem oder was dient die individuelle Förderung eigentlich?
Und wie kann, soll oder will man dem sich daraus ergebenden Dilemma als Lehrer oder Lehrerin begegnen?

Voraussetzung zur Teilnahme an dem Seminar ist Lesekompetenz und Interesse an einer Diskussion der Thematik.
