Die zweiteilige Einführungsveranstaltung, die in Seminarform abgehalten wird und sich an Bachelor-Studierende der Fächer Französisch und Spanisch richtet, vermittelt systematisches Grundwissen zu Konzepten und Methoden der aktuellen Kultur- und Medienwissenschaft. Zentrale Begriffe, Modelle und Theorien beider Disziplinen werden im Rahmen der Lektüre einschlägiger Texte sowie im exemplarischen Umgang mit Medienpraktiken und -techniken verschiedener Epochen erarbeitet. Neben wichtigen kulturwissenschaftlichen Ansätzen (wie Kultursemiotik, kultureller Gedächtnisforschung, postcolonial studies, gender studies u.a.) werden dabei auch Beschreibungsmodelle der aktuellen Medientheorie (bes. Film, Internet) berücksichtigt. Im Fokus stehen französische und spanische bzw. lateinamerikanische (Medien-)Kulturen.
Die zu behandelnden Texte werden zu Semesterbeginn bereitgestellt.

Die Einführung (3 LP) wird von einem Tutorium begleitet, das Teil der Veranstaltung ist (2 LP) und damit für alle Teilnehmer:innen verpflichtend ist! Bitte berücksichtigen Sie dies bei Ihrer Stundenplanung.
