Die Vorlesung eröffnet einen Überblick über die Kunst und Bildkultur vom Mittelalter bis zur Zeit um 1800. Anhand der unterschiedlichen Themen, die von den Lehrenden des Arbeitsbereichs Historische Bildwissenschaft/Kunstgeschichte erörtert werden, wird ein Spektrum an methodischen Ansätzen vorgestellt.
