Dieses Seminar richtet sich besonders an Lehramtsstudierende, kann aber auch von rein fachlich interessierten Studierenden belegt werden. Die Veranstaltung ist auch für die Vorbereitung meeresbiologischer Exkursion und Klassenfahrten geeignet.
Inhaltlich steht ein sehr breites Spektrum an aktuellen schul- und umweltrelevante Themen (auch für Fachwissenschaftler*innen) zur Meeresbiologie zur Verfügung. Die Studieren stellen zunächst in einer kleinen Präsentation (30 – 40 min) fachliche Inhalte aus der Meeresbiologie für den Einsatz auf Klassenfahrten oder Exkursionen vor. In der nachfolgenden Praxisphase werden die Fachinhalte für den unterrichtlichen Einsatz aufgearbeitet und Unterrichtseinsätze in Gruppenarbeiten erprobt. Die Meerwasseranlage der Biologiedidaktik kann für praktische Anwendungen genutzt werden. Zu dieser Veranstaltung gehören zwei Exkursionen (Aquazoo Düsseldorf und zum Aquarium des Kölner Zoo), die nach Absprache mit den Teilnehmer*innen in der vorlesungsfreien Zeit durchgeführt werden können (falls Corona dies zulässt).
