Kernziel der universitären Begleitveranstaltungen des Praxissemesters ist die Entwicklung fachdidak-
tischer Reflexionskompetenz als Grundlage sozialwissenschaftlicher Lehrer:innenprofessionalität. Da-
bei gilt: Praxis und Theorie sozialwissenschaftlicher Bildung stehen in einem wechselseitigen Bedin-
gungsverhältnis. Theorie ohne Praxis verbleibt im universitären Elfenbeintum, ist wie Stricken ohne
Wolle. Praxis ohne eine theoretische Reflexionsfolie mangelt es vielfach an Innovationspotenzial. Sie
droht immer dann zu scheitern, wenn geübte Rezepte nicht funktionieren. In den Veranstaltungen
des Praxissemesters gilt es daher, Theorie und Praxis immer wieder zueinander in Bezug zu setzen
und die relevanten Modi des Lehrkräftehandelns (Wissen, Können und Reflexion) einzuüben. Zentral
hierfür ist die Entwicklung und Durchführung eines Forschungsprojektes, auf das vor allem im Rah-
men der VPS-Veranstaltungen vorbereitet werden soll.
