This seminar is intended for those intending to teach at secondary school level: Hauptschule, Realschule, Gymnasium or Gesamtschule. The course offers a brief historical survey of methods of teaching English as a foreign language and introduces major temporary approaches as well as some less mainstream approaches. There will also be a brief, practically-orientated introduction to assessment at secondary level.
