Diese Veranstaltung hat vor allem ein übergeordnetes Ziel: In ihr soll ein Begriff davon gewonnen werden, was Literaturwissenschaft als Wissenschaft von der Literatur (nicht von irgendetwas sonst) sein könnte. Eingeübt werden soll, dass und inwiefern es auch für diese Wissenschaft von der Literatur unterlässlich ist, sich selbst in seinem wissenschaftlichen Tun ständig zu beobachten, ständig bereit zu sein, zu begründen, warum man tut, was man tut (also z. B. wie man sich einem Text nähern kann), sich insofern ständig methodisch und theoretisch selbst zu reflektieren.
Da die TeilnehmerInnen nach meiner Erfahrung sehr unterschiedliche wissenschaftliche Voraussetzungen mitbringen, werden wir in der ersten Sitzung gemeinsam festlegen, wie wir vorgehen wollen.

Das Seminar ist dreistündig; viele Formen der Seminargestaltung werden eine Rolle spielen. Die Seminargruppe wird voraussichtlich recht klein sein; ohne die Bereitschaft der TeilnehmerInnen, dieses Seminar als ihre Veranstaltung aufzufassen , die sie wirklich mitgestalten sollen, wird es also nicht gehen.
