In diesem Seminar für Masterstudierende, auch für Student(inn)en, die eine Qualifikationsarbeit schreiben wollen, geht es um den Zusammenhang von Friedenspädagogik und Erinnerungskultur. Zur Vorbereitung sei ein Kapitel der freien Wahl aus dem E-Book von Markus Schultze-Kraft Über „Education for Sustainable Peace throught Historical Memory“ (2020) im Eckert-Institut Braunschweig empfohlen.
Zunächst werden Positionen zum Ansatz Friedenspädagogik von B. Reardon, W. Wintersteiner und A. Bernhard vorgestellt und erarbeitet.
In einem zweiten Schritt werden die Überlegungen an drei außerschulischen Lernorten angelegt werden: Dem Kaiser Wilhelm-Denkmal an der Porta-Westfalica und dem dortigen Bergwerksstollen, der Wewelsburg als einer Elite-Ausbildungsstätte der Nationalsozialisten und dem Lager in Schloss Holte-Stukenbrock, wo Tote und Ermordete ohne Namen auf Friedhöfen bis zum dortigen Tag der Befreiung 1945 beerdigt wurden.
