Jeden Tag beginnen und beenden wir unzählige Interaktionen. Interaktionsanfänge sind also ebenso alltäglich wie (meist) unspektakulär. Dennoch sind sie soziologisch hochgradig interessant, weil sich die Beteiligten schon zu Beginn von Interaktionen mit dem Problem konfrontiert sehen, dass sie bestimmen müssen, wie sie sich in sachlicher und sozialer Hinsicht aufeinander beziehen (können). Im Rahmen medienvermittelter Interaktion (z.B. über Telefon oder Skype) kommt noch das Problem hinzu, dass die Beteiligten räumlich nicht ko-präsent sind. Hierdurch werden einerseits besondere Prozeduren der wechselseitigen Identifizierung und andererseits auch Methoden der laufenden Kontrolle der Verbindung („bist Du noch da?“, „Sorry, die Verbindung ist ganz schlecht“,…) notwendig, um medienvermittelte Interaktionen an- und fortlaufen lassen zu können.
Im Seminar werden wir uns zunächst auf Grundlage bestehender – vor allem konversationsanalytischer – Forschung mit dem Phänomen des Anfangs von (medienvermittelter) Interaktion befassen, um darauf aufbauend anschließend selbst kleinere Erhebungen zu Interaktionsanfängen durchzuführen.
