Das Problem der Willensfreiheit wird in letzter Zeit wieder heftig diskutiert - sowohl in der Philosophie als auch in der breiten Öffentlichkeit. Besitzen wir einen freien Willen? Ist Willensfreiheit mit einem deterministischen Weltbild vereinbar oder sind freie Entscheidungen notwendigerweise indeterminiert? Untergraben neuere Ergebnisse der Kognitions- und Neurowissenschaften (z.B. die Libet-Experimente) die Annahme, wir hätten einen freien Willen? Diese und andere Fragen werden wir im Seminar behandeln. Auch die Beziehung zwischen Willensfreiheit und moralischer Verantwortlichkeit soll dabei eingehend untersucht werden.
Eine Leistungsbescheinigung (BA-Studiengang) wird ausgestellt für einen Essay und eine weitere Leistung (Kurzreferat oder Stundenprotokoll).
Ein Leistungsnachweis (Magister- oder Lehramts-Studiengang) wird ausgestellt für eine Hausarbeit.

Lehramts- und Magister-Studiengänge: Zwischenprüfung.
