Contents, comment

Ziel des Kurses ist es, das Verhältnis von Soziologie und Lebenswissenschaften (wie Biologie, Evolutionsforschung und Neurowissenschaften) zu klären. Dabei sollen sowohl die möglichen wechselseitigen „Importe“ wie auch die Integrationsmöglichkeiten berücksichtigt werden. Insbesondere gilt dies auch für Felder der Biopolitiken, der Strategien und Diskurse, die sich darauf richten, „Leben zu machen“ (Foucault) und zu optimieren.
