Wie unterscheiden sich Kampfkunst und Kampfsport begrifflich und trainingswissenschaftlich voneinander? Wie gestaltet sich modernes Kampfsporttraining und welche Anforderungen stellen beliebte Kampfsportarten an die Sportler*Innen?

Im Rahmen des Seminars sollen die Teilnehmer*Innen grundlegende Fertigkeiten im Bereich moderner Kampfsportarten, insbesondere dem Submission-Grappling, Boxen, Thaiboxen und MMA, erwerben. Dazu werden zunächst deren Unterscheidungsmerkmale und Eigenarten untersucht und hinsichtlich ihrer Anforderungen analysiert. Davon ausgehend werden einzelne Kernelemente dieser Kampfsportarten sowie die Vermittlung dieser Elemente erlernt.

Für die Sitzungen wird reißfeste, enganliegende Kleidung empfohlen. Das Tragen von Schützern (Tief-, Brust- und Mundschutz) und Schonern (Knie- und Ellenbogenschoner) ist nicht notwendig aber zulässig, das Tragen von Schuhen (außer Ringer- und Boxerstiefel) ist nicht erlaubt.
