Das Seminar behandelt verschiedene Methoden und Anwendungen der
asymptotischen Analysis. Bei der asymptotischen Analysis geht es darum,
das Grenzverhalten von Funktionen, Integralen etc. zu untersuchen. Sie
hat vielfältige Anwendungen in der Mathematik (z.B. partielle
Differentialgleichungen, analytische Zahlentheorie), Physik und auch
Informatik.Geplante Themen sind u.a. die Sattelpunktnäherung, oszillierende
Integrale, die Methode der stationären Phase und Beispiele
asymptotischer Entwicklungen, z.B. im Primzahlsatz.Vorausgesetzt werden die Vorlesungen Analysis 1, 2 sowie einige Elemente
der Maß- und Integrationstheorie. Notwendige Kenntnisse über die
komplexe Analysis können parallel zum Seminar in der Vorlesung
"Funktionentheorie" erworben werden.Es besteht die Möglichkeit, im Rahmen dieses Seminars eine
Bachelorarbeit zu schreiben.Der Termin einer Vorbesprechung wird per eMail bekanntgegeben.
