Die Historische Orientierung diskutiert ausgewählte Quellentexte zum Thema „Nationalsozialismus“. Sie dient als Begleitveranstaltung zum Seminar „Geschlechtergeschichte des Nationalsozialismus“. Die Zeit des Nationalsozialismus wird in beiden Veranstaltungen nicht auf den engeren Zeitraum 1933-1945 beschränkt, sondern das Modul diskutiert den Nationalsozialismus als Phänomen im 20. Jahrhundert. Indem die Teilnehmer und Teilnehmerinnen Quellen gemeinsam erarbeiten, vertieft die Historische Orientierung Grundprobleme der Quellenkritik, wie sie bereits in den Grundkursen angesprochen wurden. In diesem Sinne erarbeitet die Historische Orientierung wichtige Grundlagen für die Erstellung der Hausarbeit im Seminar (Modulprüfung).
