In der Veranstaltung werden zunächst Grundzüge der Lese- und literarischen Sozialisation erarbeitet. Daran schließen sich Fragen an, die die Ausbildung von Kompetenz im Bereich Lesen und im Umgang mit Medien betreffen: Welche Kenntnisse, Fähigkeiten und Bereitschaften zeichnen einen kompetenten Leser, eine kompetente Leserin aus? Inwiefern unterscheiden sich diese Merkmale von denen literarischer Kompetenz? Und welche Rolle nehmen im Rahmen der Kompetenzdebatte die digitalen Medien ein? Der Schwerpunkt des Seminars wird schließlich darauf liegen, literarische Lernprozesse näher zu beschreiben und diesbezügliche Beobachtungsmöglichkeiten zu sichten und zu beurteilen.
