Was ist Liebe? Ein 'Gefühl' oder ein 'Code'? Ein 'Kulturmedium' oder ein 'Sinnmuster subjektiver Selbstverwaltung'? Ausgehend von aktuellen Methodendebatten über das Phänomen Liebe, unternimmt das Seminar den Versuch, den Wandel der Vorstellungen von Liebe sowie des Diskurses über Liebe vom 18. Jahrhundert bis zur Gegenwart zu skizzieren und am Beispiel ausgewählter Konstellationsanalysen zu analysieren. Zentrale Quellen bilden: Liebesbriefe sowie Bilder, Photographien.
Das Seminar ist verknüpft mit der Vorlesung von Prof. Dr. Radkau sowie mit dem Hauptmodul Moderne BA, MA
