220099 Gewaltblind und konfliktfern? Probleme der Geschichtsschreibung seit dem 19. Jahrhundert (GSH) (WiSe 2017/2018)

Die bundesdeutsche Geschichtswissenschaft hat ähnlich wie die Sozialwissenschaften soziale Konflikte und Gewalt lange nur am Rande analysiert. Die Veranstaltung wird dieses Problem an ausgewählten Beispielen verdeutlichen und nach Ursachen für diese Entwicklung suchen.

Ausgangspunkt ist die von Hans Joas und Wolfang Knöbl formulierte These von der Kriegsverdrängung in den Sozialtheorien. Als Fallbeidpiel dienen vor allem die deutsche Revolution von 1918/19 und ihre geschichts- und sozialwissenschaftliche Analyse. Eingebettet wird dies in eine kritische Lektüre grundlegender Texte zur Entwicklung der Geschichtsschreibung.

Die Veranstaltung beginnt am 19. Oktober.
