Die Pädagogisch-Psychologische Diagnostik stellt die Grundlage jeglicher Präventions- und Interventionsansätze im schulischen Alltag dar. Für viele psychologische Tätigkeitsfelder sind das Wissen um diagnostische Prozesse, die Kompetenz zur Beurteilung von Ökonomie und Effektivität testdiagnostischer Verfahren sowie die Fähigkeit zur Interpretation und Rückmeldung entsprechender Ergebnisse unabdingbar. Im Rahmen des Seminars soll ein evidenzbasierter Überblick über wissenschaftlich fundierte und praktisch bewährte Testverfahren, die für die Pädagogisch-Psychologische Arbeit von hoher Relevanz sind, geschaffen werden. Dafür werden zunächst relevante Störungsbilder (wie z.B. Hochbegabung, Lese-Rechtschreibstörung, Rechenstörung) differenziert betrachtet. Die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Einsatz und der Durchführung entsprechender testdiagnostischer Instrumente, die Beurteilung ihres ausgewählten Nutzens sowie ihrer Effektivität und die Ableitung praktischer Implikationen erfolgt im Rahmen der Arbeit an Fallbeispielen aus der Pädagogisch-Psychologischen Beratungsstelle. Studierende sollen dazu befähigt werden, diagnostische Fragestellung zu identifizieren und mit Hilfe einer sinnvollen Auswahl an testdiagnostischen Instrumenten zielführend zu beantworten – in diesem Rahmen werden auch herausfordernde Verhaltensweisen von Klienten thematisiert. Die eigenständige Auseinandersetzung und Einübung entsprechender Verfahren stellt einen Teil des Seminars dar.
