Im Rahmen des Seminars wird zunächst ein Überblick über die Druchführung und Auswertung verschiedener neuropsychologischer Verfahren zur Erfassung disverser kognitiver Funktionen, z.B. Gedächtnis, Sprache, Aufmerksamkeit, exekutive Funktionen, gegeben. Hierbei wird stets ein Bezug hergestellt zu den funktionell neuroanatomischen Grundlagen dieser Funktionen sowie zu spezifischen neurologischen und psychiatrischen Erkrankungen, bei denen der jeweilige Funktionsbereich defizitär sein kein. Zudem soll, basierend auf aktuellen wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen, über Möglichkeiten und Grenzen neuropsychologischer Funktionsdiagnostik in Praxis und Forschung diskutiert werden.

Die Veranstaltung richtet sich primär an BSc Studenten im Kernfach Psychologie mit neurowissenschaftlicher Vertiefung. Um die Veranstaltung gewinnbringend besuchen zu können, sind Grundkenntnisse in Biopsychologie und physiologischer Psychologie hilfreich.
