Dieses Seminar führt in die Methodologie der Grounded Theory (GT) ein. Mit der GT werden „Theorien“ generiert, die aus den Daten hervorgehen. Um zu einer „Theorie“ zu gelangen, werden Daten des interessierenden sozialen Bereichs auf ihre immanenten Muster und Zusammenhänge hin untersucht. Im Seminar wird der Symbolische Interaktionismus als theoretische Heimat der GT diskutiert und anschließend Vorgehensweisen sowie Strategien der GT betrachtet.
