Inhaltlich werden sich die Fragestellungen und Gegenstände der EL aus den besuchten Seminaren in den Elementen eins und zwei oder aus Ihren eigenen Interessen in Bezug auf Soziale Arbeit ergeben. Die Vertiefung soll die Begleitung des selbstgesteuerten Lernens leisten. Insofern wird im ersten Treffen zunächst das weitere Vorgehen in der Vertiefung abgestimmt. Hilfestellung kann etwa für das Eingrenzen der Fragestellung, Literaturrecherche oder Zitation gegeben werden. In diesem Rahmen können auch grundlegende Fragen wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens geklärt werden. Darüber hinaus ist die Einzelberatung in der Sprechstunde vorgesehen.

Im Rahmen der Vertiefung werden benotete Einzelleistungen/Modulprüfungen und unbenotete Einzelleistungen/Modulprüfungen angefertigt. Die EL/MP(b) wird in Form einer Hausarbeit erworben. Die EL/MP(u) kann in einer der folgenden Weisen erbracht werden:
a) klassische Hausarbeiten; b) die Konzipierung und Durchführung eines (kleinen) Forschungsprojektes; c) die Konzipierung und Durchführung einer (kleinen) Studiengruppe; d) eine mündliche Prüfung; e) Ihre eigenen Ideen zur Leistungserbringung, die wir zu Anfang des Semesters diskutieren können.
