301050 Globale Ökonomie - globaler Kapitalismus: Dependenzen, Verflechtungen, und Deterritorialisierung (S) (SoSe 2022)

In diesem Seminar wollen wir uns mit der sozial-räumlichen Verfasstheit des globalen Kapitalismus befassen. Wir werden mit Dependenz- und Weltsystemtheorien beginnen, die als Gegenmodell zu von nationalstaatlich verfassten Ökonomien ausgehenden Modernisierungstheorien, für eine globale Verflechtung und Vernetzung argumentieren (Wallerstein, Frank, Sassen, Harvey, Gereffi). Darauf folgen Ansätze, die eine Deterritorialisierung diagnostizieren und die globale Ökonomie in Begriffen von ‚flows‘ und Mobilität fassen (Urry, Castels). Schließlich wenden wir uns neueren Ansätzen zu, die für eine Wiederentdeckung konkreter Orte in der globalen Ökonomie auf methodologischer Ebene im Sinne einer globale Ethnographie plädieren (Sassen, Burawoy).
