This seminar deals with the fundamental aspects of sports coaching and performance management.
We will focus on important differences that exist across coaching levels (recreational, grassroots, developmental, elite), which influence performance management and evaluation for all stakeholders involved within the sports setting.
We discuss individual and team sports, benefiting from the potential transfer of knowledge among disciplines, as well as the integration of sports science experts who may compose a multi-/interdisciplinary framework.
We will also merge the theoretical background with practical examples to stimulate discussions.
Due to the international orientation of the topic, English-language literature is used predominantly in the seminar.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
