Die Vorlesung führt ein in Methoden der diskreten Mathematik. Behandelt werden insbesondere Kombinatorik, elementare Zahlentheorie und Graphentheorie.

Requirements for participation, required level

Voraussetzung zur Teilnahme sind die Module Mathematik I und Mathematik II für Naturwissenschaftler. Daraus werden insbesondere grundlegende Beweismethoden (vollständige Induktion, Beweis durch Widerspruch, etc.) und mathematische Strukturen (Gruppen, Ringe, Körper, Folgen, Reihen) verwendet.
