230184 Hofmannsthals Dramatik (S) (SoSe 2024)

Berühmt wurde Hofmannsthal als Lyriker aus dem Umkreis von Bahr und dann der 'Blätter für die Kunst' Stefan Georges. Demgegenüber machen aber Dramentexte verschiedener Machart einen sehr viel größeren Teil des Werkes aus. Im Seminar soll ein Querschnitt versucht werden, von den frühen (lyrischen) Dramen ('Tod des Tizian' und 'Die Hochzeit der Sobeide') über das 'Gerettete Venedig', den 'Jedermann', das 'Salzburger Große Welttheater' hin zum 'Schwierigen' und dem 'Rosenkavalier', also den Operndichtungen. Sollten wir sehr schnell sein und es bleibt noch Zeit (eher unwahrscheinlich), schauen wir uns das große 'Turm'-Projekt noch an.

Kenntnisse der Dramenanalyse und -theorie. Besitz der Texte, die günstig zu haben sind.
