Nach Einführung in die Hermeneutik werden literarische Texte mit dem hermeneutischen Ansatz behandelt und Überlegungen zum Einsatz der Literatur im DaF-Unterricht diskutiert - im Zentrum stehen sowohl Gedichte (z. B. von Mascha Kaleko, Erich Fried u. a.) als auch Prosa (z. B. von Rose Ausländer, Elke Heidenreich u. a.). Auch wird der Frage nachgegangen, ob Literatur einen festen Platz im DaF-Unterricht hat.
