Sozialwissenschaftliche Bildung wird oft als gesellschaftliches Steuerungsinstrument (miss-)verstanden. Unabhängig davon, ob diese Steuerung gelingt, es liegt oft eine Steuerungsutopie vor, müssen sich Lehrkräfte zu diversen Formen der Einflussnahme verhalten.
Anhand ausgewählter Beispiele werden Strategien der Einflussnahme auf sozialwissenschaftliche Bildung analysiert (Bildungskonzepte, Curricula, Lobbyismus etc.) und Maßnahmen erörtert, wie Lehrkräfte diese bei der Lehrplanung und im Unterricht thematisieren und reflektieren können. Berücksichtigt werden auch empirische Erkenntnisse der Sozial- und der Unterrichtsforschung, da die Einflussnahmen vielfach auch dazu beitragen können, Strukturen sozialer Ungleichheit in und durch sozialwissenschaftliche Bildung zu (re-)produzieren und zu verfestigen.
Dieses Seminar richtet sich insbesondere an Studierende der Studiengänge HRSGe.
