Dieses Blockseminar befasst sich mit dem auf Jon Kabat-Zinn (University of Massachusetts) zurückzuführenden Konzept der Pädagogik der Achtsamkeit. Achtsamkeit hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren zu einem zentralen und innovativen Konzept für die Bildung von Kindern und Jugendlichen entwickelt. Gleichermaßen hat die Achtsamkeit eine hohe Bedeutung für den schulischen Alltag der Lehrer:innen. Das Hauptaugenmerk des Konzeptes liegt auf der psychischen und physischen Gesundheit aller Beteiligten in Lehr- und Lernkontexten.

In diesem Seminar beleuchten wir den Achtsamkeits-Diskurs auf internationaler Ebene. Da die Mindfulness ihren Ursprung in den USA hat, freuen wir uns besonders über die Unterstützung von Prof. Patricia Jennings von der University of Virginia. Prof. Jennings beschäftigt sich bereits seit langer Zeit mit dem Konzept der Mindfulness in Education auf wissenschaftlicher Ebene und wird uns den Diskurs in den Sitzungen am 30. Juni., 01. Juli und am 02. Juli aus US-amerikanischer Perspektive näherbringen.

Ziel dieses Blockseminares ist es, Sie mit der Pädagogik der Achtsamkeit vertraut zu machen und den pädagogischen Ansatz gemeinsam mit Ihnen zu diskutieren.

Das Seminar wird nur teilweise auf Englisch stattfinden. Für Übersetzungshilfe ist gesorgt.
