Aufgrund der langjährigen Ablehnung des Rassismusbegriffs blickt die Beschäftigung mit der Analyseperspektive Rassismus sowie der mit ihr verbundenen Handlungs- und Kritikperspektive antirassistischer Ansätze im deutschsprachigen Raum auf eine eher kurze Geschichte zurück. Dies gilt auch für die deutschsprachige Pädagogik, die Fragen, die sich auf mit Migrationsprozessen verknüpfte Phänomene beziehen, traditionell in erster Linie mit dem Kulturbegriff formuliert(e). Im Seminar steht zunächst die Beschäftigung mit dem Begriff Rassismus (ideologietheoretische und diskurstheoretische Rassismustheorien) im Mittelpunkt. Vor diesem Hintergrund werden dann programmatische Vorstellungen, Ansätze und Konzepte Antirassistischer Erziehung und Bildung zu besprechen und kritisch zu diskutieren sein.
