Die Veranstaltung wird in digitaler Form stattfinden.
Zu Beginn werden Sie eine zeitlich strukturierte Übersicht zu den verschiedenen Themen erhalten (Lernraum). Sie werden im Folgenden Aufgaben bearbeiten, für welche Sie jeweils ungefähr 2 Wochen Zeit haben werden.Im Wesentlichen basiert das Seminar auf dem Lehrbuch von M. Schumacher & G. Schulgen: "Methodik klinischer Studien: methodische Grundlagen der Planung, Durchführung und Auswertung" und der Artikel-Serie im deutschen Ärzteblatt „Bewertung wissenschaftlicher Publikationen“ ergänzt um weitere Artikel/Präsentationen und exemplarischen Artikeln zu klinischen Studien aus verschiedenen Fachgebieten (Psychopharmakologie, Epilepsie etc.).

Klinische Studien haben zum Ziel, medizinische oder psychologische Interventionen, z.B. (Psycho-) Pharmaka, Therapien, Schulungsprogramme, bei Patienten oder gesunden Probanden hinsichtlich Wirksamkeit und Verträglichkeit zu überprüfen. In dem Seminar soll eine Einführung in die Methodik klinischer Studien, insbesondere deren Planung und Auswertung, gegeben und an Beispielen veranschaulicht werden. Dabei soll auch auf mögliche Fehlerquellen eingegangen werden und wie man versucht, diese zu vermeiden. Da es sich um Forschung am Menschen handelt, sind auch ethische und rechtliche Aspekte und Richtlinien zu beachten.
