Gegenstand der Veranstaltung ist die experimentelle Untersuchung und Verarbeitung von gesprochener Sprache mittels Standardsoftware zur Analyse und Weiterverarbeitung von akustischen Sprachsignalen (z.B. Praat, Wavesurfer, Emu etc.).
Im Kurs soll in erster Linie die systematische Erfassung, Beschreibung und statistische Analyse von akustischen Sprachsignalen erlernt werden. Parallel dazu wird die Manipulation von Sprachsignalen sowie die parametrische Synthese für die Erstellung von Stimuli für einfache Wahrnehmungsexperimente eingeübt.
Der Kurs ist ensprechend als Praxiskurs angelegt und setzt theoretisches Basiswissen voraus.

Teilnehmer müssen erfolgreich an der Veranstaltung "Einführung in die Phonetik und Phonologie" teilgenommen haben und ein phonetisches Transkriptionssystem beherrschen. Ein Kurseinstieg zur ersten Semesterwoche ist obligatorisch!
