Das Blockseminar ist literaturtheoretisch konzipiert und versucht, einen Einblick in diejenigen Ansätze der „Postcolonial Studies“ zu verschaffen, die in der germanistischen Literaturwissenschaft konstruktiv Eingang gefunden haben. Diese Ansätze werden von der Auseinandersetzung mit einer Auswahl von literarischen Texten gewonnen, die für das Seminar zusammengestellt und rechtzeitig bekannt gegeben wird.
