230513 Archivkunde für Germanisten und Literaturwissenschaftler (S) (SoSe 2015)

Archive halten eine Fülle von meist geschriebenen (seltener gedruckten) Materialien bereit, die auch für Germanisten interessant sein können: Verlagsarchive bewahren die Korrespondenz von Autoren und Verlegern, Kirchliche Archive und Pfarrämter die Lebensdaten der Eltern und Vorfahren (Geburt, Hochzeit, Kinder, Tod), Stadtarchive bewahren Urkunden und Schriftzeugnisse, die über das Alltagsleben in früheren Zeiten – Rechtsprechung, Marktpreise, Handwerks-, Hochzeits-, Verteidigungs- und Feuerordnung – Auskunft geben können. An zwei bis drei Standorten (geplant sind Bielefeld, Münster, Lemgo) sollen die Studierenden verschiedene Materialien heben und Gelegenheit bekommen, eigenständige Entdeckungen zu machen. In einer Einführung werden Hilfsmittel zum Umgang mit Archivmaterialien vorgestellt und Anleitungen zum Arbeiten mit historischen Dokumenten und Lesen von Handschriften gegeben.
