Die Normalitätsvorstellungen die uns sowohl im Alltag als auch in der pädagogischen Praxis begleiten gründen sich nicht aus sich selbst heraus. Was als Normalität oder soziale Norm Geltung erlangt, gründet sich in unterschiedlichen Diskursen und sozialer Praxis und wird dabei fortwährend ausgehandelt bzw. immer wieder neu produziert. Vermittelt über unterschiedliche soziale Techniken und Strategien entfaltet die Konstruktion von Normalität dabei Machtwirkungen. Die Zielsetzung des Seminars ist es, diese Prozesse durch den Nachvollzug ihre Historizität der Selbstverständlichkeit zu entkleiden und zu ergründen, inwieweit pädagogische Praxis und erziehungswissenschaftliche Theorie selbst an der Konstruktion von wirkmächtigen Normalitätsvorstellungen beteiligt sind.
