Thinking migration in the Americas is usually related to Mexico-US corridor and its dynamics, putting aside other migratory trends that take place between other countries and regions. These other inter-regional movements have their own historical, social and cultural context, creating new platforms and transnational relations.
The aim of this course is to offer students an introductory perspective of Central American, Mexico and United States migratory processes in the last decades. Civil wars, diasporas, violence and natural disasters and other topics are going to be discussed.

• Unaccompanied minors. Examples of migratory policies and their consequences
Students attending this Seminar must be ready to read Spanish texts.

Students are expected to attend classes regularly and prepare sessions. In order to get the credits of the course, they have to present an oral exam by February 29th, 2016, at the latest.
