300760 Einführung in die Mediensoziologie (V) (WiSe 2019/2020)

Diese Veranstaltung führt in grundlegende Begriffe und Bereiche der Mediensoziologie ein: Kommunikation, Interaktion und Massenkommunikation; gesellschaftliche Differenzierung und Medienkommunikation; Evolution der Medien; Formen und Funktionen der Medien in der modernen Gesellschaft; Öffentlichkeit und öffentliche Meinung; neue Medien. Es werden Grundzüge zentraler Theorien sozialwissenschaftlicher Medienforschungen und einige damit zusammenhängende methodische Probleme vorgestellt und diskutiert, u.a. Medienwirkungsmodelle, Kritische Medientheorie, subjekt- und handlungstheoretische Rezeptionsforschungen, Cultural Studies und Systemtheorie der Massenkommunikation. Ziel ist die Aneignung eines allgemeinen Instrumentariums, mit dem verschiedene Aspekte sozialwissenschaftlicher Medienforschungen erschlossen und bearbeitet werden können.
