Es ist eine weitverbreitete Annahme, dass im Umgang mit dem Klimawandel die Zeit der Soziologie gekommen sei. Klimawandel fordert die moderne Gesellschaft in unterschiedlicher Weise heraus. Dieses Seminar beschäftigt sich mit rechtlichen Entscheidungen zum Klimawandel und nimmt seinen empirischen Ausgangspunkt im deutschen Klimaschutzgesetz. Auf der einen Seite wollen wir nachfragen, welche Funktion solche rechtlichen Eingriffe auf den gesellschaftlichen Umgang mit Klimawandel haben, wie das Gesetz konstruiert ist, auf der anderen Seite sollen wir Folgen dieses Gesetzes, vorrangig im Recht, aber auch in Politik und Wirtschaft nachzeichnen. Darsu sollte sich ein Aufgabenkatalog für die soziologische Forschung ergeben, den sie erfüllen muss, damit ihre Zeit auch gekommen ist.
