Die Vermittlung textanalytischer und textproduktiver Kompetenzen („Umgang mit Texten“) zählt zu den zentralen Aufgaben des Literaturunterrichts.
Die Veranstaltung führt in die curriculare Bedeutung der Texterschließung ein. Vor allem aber wird es um Methoden der Texterschließung gehen. Es werden Verfahren der texterschließenden Informationsbeschaffung und -aufbereitung, analytische Verfahren (Interpretation, Textvergleich) sowie handlungs- und produktionsorientierte Methoden (Texte szenisch, grafisch usw. umsetzen) vorgestellt. Einerseits werden die theoretischen Grundlagen der behandelten Methoden besprochen, andererseits werden konkrete Beispiele bzw. exemplarische Anwendungen der Methoden erörtert und erprobt.
