Die Frühe Neuzeit war eine Epoche von Herrschaftsverdichtung und Staatsbildung. Thema dieses Moduls ist, in welcher Beziehung Bestrebungen zur Herstellung öffentlicher Ordnung mit Vorstellungen von geschlechtlicher Ordnung sowie mit der Regulierung und Kontrolle von Geschlechterbeziehungen standen. Verfolgt wird zudem die Frage, ob und wie Ordnungsbestrebungen rezipiert und in der Praxis wirksam wurden. Die beiden Veranstaltungen sind eng auf einander bezogen. Die Historische Orientierung führt in grundlegende Quellen und Literatur zum Themenkomplex ein.
