392025 Script Languages (Taught in English) (Ü) (WiSe 2014/2015)

Contents, comment

Python is one of the most under-estimated new generation programmation language. But often misused as a scripting language, it has a far greater potential away from built-in scripts in Blender, GIMP or OpenOffice.

This is a multiparadigm object oriented programming language, which can be easily integrated in other languages like C. Python is more and more used in addition to web applications in the areas of data mining, statistics and numerical analysis.

With the help of an extensive variety of ready made modules, Python can be easily used for quick programming a variety of programs. This course needs no pre-required knowledge of Python. General programming skills are helpful but not mandatory.

The entire event will take place in V2 GZI, so, everything learned can and should be immediately tested in practice.

Requirements for participation, required level

This course needs no pre-required knowledge of Python. General programming skills are helpful.
