230655 Ist das Literatur oder kann das weg? - Zur literaturwissenschaftlichen Beschäftigung mit Songs des aktuellen Deutschraps (S) (SoSe 2025)

Seit ihrem Aufkommen in den USA der 1970er Jahre hat sich die Hip-Hop-Kultur in verschiedenen regionalen Ausläufern global ausgebreitet und spielt mittlerweile eine entscheidende Rolle bei der kulturellen Repräsentation von unterschiedlichen Bevölkerungsgruppen. Vermehrt werden ihre gattungspezifischen Besonderheiten, textlich, musikalisch oder kulturell, auch für die Forschung interessant. Wir werden in diesem Seminar gemeinsam untersuchen, welchen spezifischen Zugriff die Literaturwissenschaft bieten kann, wenn es um die Beschäftigung mit Rap-Songs geht. Dafür werden wir uns unter verschiedenen Gesichtspunkten eine Auswahl aktueller Deutschrap-Künstler:innen genauer ansehen, die eine möglichst große Bandbreite des Genres abdecken soll von KIZ bis Haftbefehl, Ebow bis Shirin David.
