Are people with a low socioeconomic status (SES) less healthy? What are the causes for differences in health?
In the seminar “Health Inequalities“ the mechanisms between social and health inequalities will be examined: The SES has an influence on e.g. the eating habits or the housing conditions. Therefore the link between the SES and health will be discussed theoretically and empirically. Additionally there will be the possibility for your own investigations based on data of the German Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP).
