Hilfen zur Erziehung stellen einen der größten Leistungsbereiche der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe dar. Als sozialpädagogische Hilfen reagieren sie auf die Bedingungen des Aufwachsens und die gestiegenen Anforderungen der Lebensbewältigung. Jugendhilferechtlich sind Hilfen zur Erziehung als Leistungsangebot explizit verankert und in der Praxis ihrer Angebotsformen ausdifferenziert und professionalisiert. Das Angebotsspektrum der Hilfen zur Erziehung wird im Überblick behandelt und in exemplarischen Arbeitsfeldern vertiefend betrachtet. Wie professionelle und organisationale Handlungslogiken Hilfeleistungen prozessieren wird im Seminar diskutiert.
Die zu erbringenden Studien- bzw. Prüfungsleistungen können nach jeweiligem Umfang durch Beiträge im Seminar erworben werden.
