Die Veranstaltung soll in die Grundzüge des politischen Systems einführen. In einem zweiten Schritt wird die aktuelle demokratietheoretische Debatte zum (kritischen oder guten) Zustand der Demokratie in den Blick genommen. Drittens soll anhand konkreter Kriterien für den Zustand einer Demokratie die Region Ostwestfalen untersucht werden.
Die Teile ‚Grundzüge politisches System‘ und ‚Demokratiedebatte‘ beruhen auf Lektüre. In dieser Phase werden Studiengruppen gebildet, die begleitend die anschließende Feldforschungsphase (vier Wochen) vorbereiten. Die Ergebnisse dieser Forschungsphase werden in den letzten drei Wochen des Seminars präsentiert.
Die Studienleistung ist ein 10-seitiger Forschungsbericht (ca. 4.000 Worte), der von höchstens vier Personen verfasst werden darf. Die jeweilige Autorenschaft für die Teile des Forschungsberichts ist individuell auszuweisen.
Die Einzelleistung entnehmen Sie bitte der jeweiligen Modulbeschreibung (Hausarbeit oder Expertise). Für jede schriftliche Leistung ist ein Outline zum 1.6.2016 einzureichen. Die Abgabe erfolgt bis zum 15.9.2016.
